Collection: FLYOUTCAST FLIES

Being based out of Sydney, rivers and lakes of the Blue Mountains are my primary stomping grounds with some Snowy Mountains trips mixed in between. Fly fishing has been a passion of my life pretty much since the day I picked up a fly rod at the age of 10. In fact, I started fly tying before I actually started fly fishing which could sound pretty unusual to some. But for the child at the time the art of putting some feathers together to create an imitation of an insect amazed me enough to spike an interest in fly fishing. Catching a fish on your creation felt just like an icing on the cake. Fly fishing and fly tying magazines as well as TV shows like ‘A river somewhere’ kept the interest going throughout the years, while dreaming about all the remote and unexplored destinations fly fishing can take. Until one I decided to start my own blog flyoutcast.com  as an online diary and eventually adding some flies for sale that have become my go to patterns over the years.
