THE SIPPER - SIZE#2

Designed by Space Coast Flies over in the US for (I believe) surface feeding snook, redfish and bass, the Sipper is a great topwater fly that can be fished either walk-the-dog style, or as a popper, depending on your needs.  With the foam situated essentially forward of the hook eye, the at pause posture of the fly is tail down, just like a baitfish sipping at the water’s surface.

It’s a great alternative pattern in the box to entice a surface feeding barra, or in smaller sizes, a sooty or two.  And when tied with weed guards gives you another option when fishing through Lilly pads as well as reeds.
