The Bendback is one of, if not, the best flies to throw when fishing for fish in snags or weed. These models are tied on the mid sized 4/0 Ahrex PR320s. The bend of the hook means that it sits below a 'weed guard' of bucktail. Send them in deep and watch bucktail and feathers do their thing while not getting snagged up. Full warning, pay attention as the Jacks love them and don't give you much time.
